A tiny folded-paper Christmas village
A row of simple standing house cards for a shelf, desk or place setting.

STARTER GUIDE · AWAITING MAKER TESTING
Let’s make something lovely.
- 01
Fold each 4 × 6-inch rectangle across its six-inch length to make a four-inch-wide, three-inch-high tent card. Crease firmly.
- 02
Stand one folded card on a flat table. Its folded edge becomes the roof ridge; keep the two bottom edges level.
- 03
Cut a separate broad triangle about four inches wide and two inches high. Glue its lower portion to the front of the card so the point rises above the fold.
- 04
Add a paper door and draw windows. Leave the back plain or write a guest’s name there if it will be a place card.
- 05
Make two more houses using slightly different roof heights. Let glued parts dry flat before standing the cards up again.
- 06
Arrange the houses with space between them. These are paper decorations, not candle holders; use a nearby battery-powered light rather than placing a flame inside.
If a heavy roof tips a house, reduce its size or use lighter paper.
Make it personal
Write a favorite winter memory inside each folded card.
