STARTER GUIDE · AWAITING MAKER TESTING

Let’s make something lovely.

  1. 01

Draw or create one broad five-point star, about three inches across. Avoid needle-thin points. Duplicate it only after checking the first shape.

  2. 02

Cut one sample in your intended cardstock. Use settings recommended for that material and equipment; inspect the points before cutting a batch.

  3. 03

Cut six to ten stars. For hand cutting, trace the same paper sample so their sizes are similar.

  4. 04

Punch a hole near the top of each star, leaving enough paper around it to resist tearing. Test one star on the twine.

  5. 05

Thread the stars and tie a loose stop knot on either side of each one, or let them slide into position on a short gift garland.

  6. 06

Hang with fixings suitable for your surface. Store flat after use and replace any torn stars before displaying again.

A little helpful detail

If a punched hole tears, move it farther from the edge or add a small cardstock reinforcement behind it.

Make it personal

Write one small memory on the back of each star.

A little help from AI

Ask AI for a three-color palette and a repeating color order; create or inspect the actual star paths in your design software.
