Christmas · No machine
Wrapping paper with tiny-maker energy
Transform a large sheet of paper into personal gift wrap with cheerful crayon marks.
STARTER GUIDE · AWAITING MAKER TESTING
Let’s make something lovely.
Before you begin: Stay within arm’s reach. Use age-rated washable materials; grown-ups handle cutting. Skip beads, buttons, loose magnets, batteries and other small parts around children who mouth objects.
- 01
Tape a large sheet flat to a protected table. Offer two or three crayon colors.
- 02
Invite your child to make dots, roads, circles or any marks they enjoy. There is no pattern to copy.
- 03
Turn the sheet occasionally so different areas receive some color. Stop before the child tires.
- 04
An adult writes the maker’s name and year near one edge. Photograph the full sheet before wrapping.
- 05
Use the paper around a dry gift and add a handwritten tag. Grown-ups handle scissors and ribbon away from children.
Crayons keep this project simple and avoid a drying stage.
Make it personal
Grandparents might love a small framed square of the paper as much as the gift.
The diagram illustrates the project idea; it is not a maker-tested result. Allow additional drying time. Estimated materials cost excludes equipment. Check your equipment and material instructions, verify template dimensions, and make a sample before a batch.
