Little countdown envelopes
Fill an early-evening countdown with tiny activities and favorite memories.

STARTER GUIDE · AWAITING MAKER TESTING
Let’s make something lovely.
- 01
Choose six opening times that suit your gathering. They can begin and end early; midnight is optional.
- 02
Write one activity on each card: take a group photo, choose a song, share a good memory, make a wish, give a compliment, or choose tomorrow’s small adventure.
- 03
Check that each activity suits the people attending and can be done in the available time. Leave out anything that pressures someone to speak or perform.
- 04
Put one card into each envelope and label it with its opening time. Keep the labels easy to replace so you can reuse the set.
- 05
Arrange the envelopes in order in a basket or on a display line. Keep a copy of the schedule nearby so the host does not need to reopen them.
- 06
Open the envelopes when you feel ready. Skip or swap an activity if the gathering takes a different direction, and save favorite cards for next year.
Add a blank card so someone can suggest a different activity on the night.
Make it personal
Make a quiet version with drawing, music and written wishes.
Ask AI for ten five-minute activities for the age range and energy level you describe; choose six and check that they work for your actual guests.
